THE TUSCAN PAINTER
Alessandro Tuci

BIOGRAPHY
Alessandro Tuci is a native of Prato, Tuscany.
He developed his love for painting and art since childhood, a passion that has always cultivated by himself. On the way from youth to adult life, he needed to pass through all kinds of required stages conditioned by family and society in which he grew up: therefore, he graduated as a Doctor of Pharmacy and got married. He worked as a pharmacist but at certain point of his life he felt a irrepressible need to express his feelings and his imagination through painting.
It is decisive for him to meet the school “Officinae” where he acquires the essential tools to tell his dream. So finally Alessandro’s heart opened unreservedly to follow the way of his predestination as an artist. He gives life to his dream that he had as a child.
His teacher encourages him to exhibit his paintings in local art shows where he has numerous awards with lot of success and acclaim in the public. He has also done several commissioned works for individual collectors. At the beginning, in order to refine his technique, he dedicated himself completely painting landscapes and reproducing real objects in a figurative precise style.
Then his painting changed and new shapes and colors now appear on his canvas. "Intuitive" painting and no longer representative…
....“I dream of painting and then I paint my dream.” (Vincent Van Gogh) ....
His subjects evoke especially imaginative and symbolic elements between dream and reality.
In his works pictures materialize and those images express the symbolic fruit of his imagination and his esoteric vision dreams. In fact, for him the painting should arouse feelings of beauty and dream.

Alessandro is attracted by the colors and the light patterns. The colors of nature represent a source of inspiration for him. He is intensely fascinated by the Tuscan countryside where he lives and where he gets inspirations for his works. He looks at nature with the eyes of a “painter". He often captures the beauty and tranquility found in the natural world and reproduces it on his canvas through his imagination... “I feel blessed to live in such a beautiful place and to share my feelings and my dream world with people through my paintings”.
